AOMEI Pro Backupper

The Aomei Backupper Pro has proven to this author to be a highly dependable backup software product.  I have transfered Windows 10 and all of my software from a 1 terabyte hard drive to a  512 Gigabyte Solid State Drive using the "Clone Disk"  and using it's SSD  transfer option.

The transransfer was flawless.  Later I experimented with just using a backup of the operating system with software programs and restored it to a 1 terabyte hard drive.  Again, flawless.  However, 512 Mb of the hard drive was not used.

Not to be down hearted, I used Microsoft's built in Adminstrative Tools, located Disk Management and chose to extend the partition out to the maximum of the hard disk drive.  Again, flawless results.

I once again cloned the drive using the SSD option and it worked once again.  I use this software to backup my data as well.  While it makes an image of the data on the drive, you can use the built in image explorer and extract any file or files you need to recover.

The software provides the user with a wide variety of options to choose from such as backup accross a network, from your HD or SSD to an external, or other drive.

With the use of SSD drives replacing the older Hard Drive, the need to backup your data and operating system becomes even more important than ever as the SSD has a tendency to have a much shorter lifespan than does a hard disk.  Too the SSD has a issue with power surges.  One good system surge and your data is wiped clean, or the SSD is no longer functional.

Myself, I have retired my 5 hard drives down to one hard drive for data only, and SSDs' for my Boot drive and Scratch Pad drive.  All the other 4 drives now have an external enclosure and acts as a backup for my data since you can power them down after backing up to them.

As a video hobbiest, this is by far the best deal for me as I often use up to 300 gigabytes or more in video clips to build a green screen special effects video.

Below I have created two different informational videos about Aomei Backupper Pro.  They were changing in the middle of the format as I was making the first video.  Both contain excellent information.  Enjoy.
